Need for a swimming pool in North Fingal with the Minister for Transport, Sport and Tourism Shane Ro

Senator Lorraine Clifford-Lee raised the once again today in the Seanad. It is absolutely outrageous that a basic sporting facility like a swimming pool has not been provided for such a rapidly expanding area before now. The Minister informed me that a new €100 million Large Scale Sports Infrastructure Fund has recently been established and the terms and conditions are currently being finalised. It will then be open to local authorities around the country to apply for funding.
